About

Welcome to Bud and Bloom Counseling!

My primary focus lies in supporting individuals navigating parenthood, from pregnancy, loss, the postpartum period, and beyond. It's a time of immense change, both physically and emotionally, and it deserves the utmost attention and care. I understand the importance of regaining a sense of self-identity amidst the demands of parenthood. Together, we will work towards recognizing and understanding your emotional patterns and responses, processing through social expectations, and empowering you to navigate forward with self-awareness and resilience. For added convenience and comfort, I offer sessions in the comfort of your own home during the first 8 weeks after delivery, provided you are within a 30-minute travel distance from Bud and Bloom Counseling. I believe that care should come to you in those first weeks, when possible, so you can truly focus on yourself and bonding with baby. I received my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from East Tennessee State University in 2016. Prior to that, I received my Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Psychology from Berry College in 2014. I am not currently accepting insurance. However, I reserve a select number of sessions per month for sliding scale rates. If you wish to submit a superbill for out of network services with your insurance, please let me know prior to working together so that I can provide you the necessary documentation.
